Arabic Font Specimen Book

08. 09. 2011

AlMohtaraf has a substantial section for our Arabic type design work in Edo Smitshuijzen’s “Arabic Font Specimen” book, a publication of Uitgeverij de Buitenkant. The book is as it says, a dictionary of Arabic types, comprised of 656 pages and featuring over 200 Arabic fonts from around the world. Each font is featured in display size, average size, and small text size, along with an overview on its style classification, author, format, date of issue, first issuing, use, characteristics, and font family. Our section included fonts such as AlYaum Newspaper, AlJazira newspaper, Saudi Hollandi Bank, SHMS, Always, and our award-winning Midan.
