Al Mohtaraf at the annual Design Symposium of Dar Al Hekma College

Dar Al- Hekma College launched the annual design symposium entitled “Identity”, bringing together 21 local and international graphic designers, interior designers, fashion designers and architects.


Among speakers in the visual communication specialization were Kameel Hawa (Director and chief designer of Al Mohtaraf design house), Tarek Atrissi, founder of Atrissi Agency in the Netherlands, and New York-based graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister.


The symposium was accompanied by a series of workshops led by the guest speakers.
Nassim Abou Abdallah (Creative director Al Mohtaraf, Jeddah, KSA) along with calligrapher and type designer Mamoun Ahmed gave an advanced arabic typography workshop for 20 students.

Beirut sculpture takes center stage and opens the Beirut Art Week in front of Le Grey Hotel in the presence of the artist Kameel Hawa, the Lebanese minister of culture and the the director of the Beirut Art Fair Laure D'Hauteville among others.
