75 years of Saudi Aramco

07. 09. 2008

In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Saudi Aramco commissioned Al Mohtaraf to research and design a series of two publications highlighting the company’s close ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as to testify to the parallel growth of the two institutions. For this end, the first publication featured the royal visits that each of Saudi Arabia’s six kings conducted to Saudi Aramco’s sites, while the second publication served as a timeline of the corporation’s history, taking the decade as its functionary unit. Each decade-section is introduced by a quote that marked it significantly, and that is discussed in greater detail within the main text. The visual style follows strict identity guidelines but also manages to explore different ways of photo and layout manipulation.
